FAMILY LAW
Domestic Relations is a field of law which encompasses a number of
areas. Sometimes referred to as family law, domestic relations law
includes the areas of divorce, separate maintenance, annulments,
guardianships, adoptions, name changes, paternity, child support,
visitation, removal of minority, property transfers through deed or will and
grandparent visitation. One single case can include all or most of these
areas, depending on the complexity. In the typical situation, however, a
case will include several of these areas.

For instance, a divorce can involve issues of custody, child support,
paternity, property division, and a name change where the wife wants to
be restored to her maiden name. Although domestic relations will
typically involve the resolution of marital conflict where one or both
parties are seeking a divorce, the other areas mentioned above occur
just as frequently.

The Evans Law Firm has cumulatively over  forty years of experience in
the field of domestic relations. We know that divorces are traumatic for
the wife as well as the husband. The parties have invested their bodies
and souls in to making their marriage successful. Yet for one reason or
another, the marriage has taken a turn for the worst. Where souses
were once deeply in love and were ready to conquer the world together,
they are now bitter, intolerant and spiteful toward their life partner. The
situation is made even more tragic when children are involved.

Nonetheless, there are certain rights that have to be protected for both
parties as well as the parties’ children, if any. The Evans Law Firm is
equally committed to providing competent representation to either side.
While we stressed civility in ending the marriage on an amicable basis,
if there is a trial of the issues, you can be assured that we will represent
you zealously within the bounds of the law.
